BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- A recent threat by a politician of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to destroy nuclear power plants on the coastal areas of the mainland has fully exposed the evil nature of a small number of secessionists in Taiwan, a mainland spokesperson said Wednesday.
Such threat risked universal condemnation, and the following acquiescence by the DPP authorities in Taiwan to such insane remarks laid bare the evil nature of a tiny number of people on the island who are devoid of human conscience, said Zhu Fenglian, the spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council when commenting on the DPP member's clamor.
Any separatist and provocative moves seeking "Taiwan independence" will face severe punishment, said Zhu. Enditem
