VIENTIANE, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- One of the five remaining COVID-19 patients in Laos has been permitted to return home after showing negative for the virus in the second round of testing.

The total number of confirmed cases in Laos remained at 41, and 37 patients have recovered.

Another four patients are being treated at Mittaphab Hospital (Hospital 150) in Lao capital Vientiane, according to the report.
