The Fuxing CR400AF trains plying on the railway linking Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, and Chongqing Municipality were officially put into operation on Thursday. The trains run at a speed of 350 km/h, reducing the travel time between the two cities to about one hour. Each day, 87.5 pairs of trains are planned to run on the 299.8 km-long inter-city high-speed railway.
