BEIJING, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition commemorating the 75th anniversary of China's recovery of sovereignty over Taiwan from 50-year Japanese occupation has been extended until the end of March, a Chinese mainland spokesperson said Wednesday.

Originally planned for two months, the exhibition has been extended by popular demand, said Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, at a press conference.

She added that an online exhibition pavilion will also be available later this month.

The exhibition that opened in Beijing on Oct. 25, 2020, has drawn wide attention and echoed people's common aspiration for reunification across the Taiwan Strait, Zhu added. Enditem
