KABUL, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's Public Health Ministry reported 81 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, raising the total infections to 54,062 nationwide.
The pandemic has so far claimed 2,343 lives in Afghanistan since February, up by four in the past 24 hours, the ministry said in a statement.
According to the ministry, 226,256 tests for the virus have been carried out in Afghanistan as of Sunday. Enditem
