SOFIA, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Bulgarian authorities on Tuesday evening shut down a large illegal cannabis production greenhouse, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The facility inside a former industrial building in the town of Boychinovtsi in northwestern Bulgaria was furnished with modern equipment such as air conditioners, fans, heat lamps and relays with timers, the statement said.
During the operation, the authorities seized 600 pots with cannabis plants, as well as more than 13 kg of dry cannabis, the statement said.
It was also revealed that the greenhouse was illegally connected to the power grid.
There is a suspect, and the investigation is underway, the ministry added. Enditem
