KABUL, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- A total of 104 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours, bringing the country's total tally to 54,854, said Public Health Ministry in a statement on Tuesday.
No COVID-19 related death was reported over the period, the statement said, adding that the death toll from the coronavirus has increased to 2,390 since the virus hit the country in February.
According to the statement, 94 more patients have recovered, bringing the number of recoveries to 47,459 in Afghanistan. Enditem
