RABAT, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The African Handball Confederation (CAHB) has decided to relocate the 36th African Clubs Championship for the Winners Cup from Algeria to Morocco.

According to a statement published by the CAHB on Thursday in Rabat, this relocation is due to "the unprecedented health situation and the consequent restrictions in force in Algeria".

The 36th Cup, initially scheduled to take place from May 20 to 29, 2021, has been relocated to Agadir, Morocco over the same period, CAHB added.

The date of the draw of the competition will be communicated shortly, according to CAHB.

Before the relocation, the Cup had been postponed from March 29-April 9, 2020 to May 20-29, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Enditem
