Singapore reports 26 new COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 26 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing its total tally to 60,407.

All of the new infections were imported cases.

On Thursday, 12 more COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries from the coronavirus epidemic to 60,161 in the country, according to the ministry.

There are currently 38 active cases being treated in hospitals. Of them, one is in critical condition and held in the intensive care unit.

Furthermore, 178 people, who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19, are being isolated and cared for at community facilities. Altogether 30 people have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection. Enditem
