LANZHOU, April 3 (Xinhua) -- More than 10,000 bunches of flowers have been sent to the Lanzhou Martyrs' Cemetery to remember Chen Hongjun, a "border-defending hero."
He died in a clash with trespassing foreign military personnel wielding steel tubes, cudgels and stones last June.
People have left their messages with the flowers.
The Tomb-sweeping Day, also known as Qingming Festival, falls on April 4 this year. It is an occasion for people to pay tribute to the dead and worship their ancestors by visiting tombs and making offerings.
