Cagliari overturns Parma in seven-goal thriller

ROME, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Cagliari won a decisive relegation battle in the Serie A after a strong comeback from 3-1 down to beat Parma 4-3 on Saturday.

Both sides were struggling in the relegation zone. A pair of strikes from Giuseppe Pezzella and Juraj Kucka helped Parma establish a 2-0 lead, despite Leonardo Pavoletti's header, Parma restored the two-goal cushion on the hour mark thanks to Dennis Man's scorcher.

However, the home side turned it around in the span of 30 minutes. After Razvan Marin pulled one goal back in the 65th minute, Cagliari ran riot in stoppage time as substitute Gaston Pereiro took center stage and found the net with a curler, before setting up another for Alberto Cerri to seal the win.
