DALIAN, China, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Super League (CSL) club Dalian Pro has named Jose Gonzalez as its new coach on Sunday to replace Rafael Benitez who parted ways with the club by the end of last season.
Dalian Pro also became the last team in the upcoming CSL new season to confirm its coach.
The 54-year-old Gonzalez has extensive coaching experience in China. In the 2014 and 2015 seasons, he joined the coaching staff of Beijing Guoan where he became the coach in 2017. In 2020, he took the helm of Wuhan Zall.
Placed 12th last season, Dalian Pro will play its first game of the season on Thursday against Changchun Yatai in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Enditem
