TBILISI, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Georgia on Tuesday reported 1,578 new COVID-19 cases, taking its total to 305,850, according to the country's center for disease control.
Data from the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health showed that 909 more patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 287,938.
Meanwhile, 17 people died in the past day, raising the death toll to 4,060.
The center said 27,373 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours around the country.
The Georgian government on Monday imposed several restrictions including the suspension of municipal transport ahead of the Easter holidays to prevent public crowding. Enditem
