PHNOM PENH, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia on Tuesday confirmed 508 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the national case total to 11,063, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Three more deaths have been recorded, bringing the death toll to 82, the statement said, adding that 127 patients have recovered, raising the overall number of recoveries to 3,704.
Of the new infections, 248 were found in capital Phnom Penh.
The Southeast Asian nation has been enduring the third wave of COVID-19 community transmission since Feb. 20. In a bid to flatten the infection curve, the kingdom has ordered a lockdown in Phnom Penh, Ta Khmau city and Preah Sihanouk city. Enditem
