ROME, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Napoli temporarily overtook Atalanta and AC Milan to vault into second place in Serie A as they crushed Udinese 5-1 on Tuesday.
The Partenopei ranked fourth before Tuesday's game and needed a win to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
Napoli surged into a 2-0 lead in quick succession, as Piotr Zielinski opened the scoring account in the 28th minute, 3 minutes before Fabian Ruiz doubled the lead with a spectacular curler.
Stefano Okaka pulled one goal back for the away side before the interval, but Napoli restored their two-goal cushion 10 minutes after the break with Hirving Lozano's volley.
