Clinical application of an inhaled COVID-19 vaccine has been applied for to China's National Medical Products Administration, Chen Wei, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said during a speech delivered at the Pujiang Innovation Forum in Shanghai on Thursday.
The inhaled vaccine only requires one-fifth of the amount of the injectable adenovirus vector COVID-19 vaccine and doesn't need cold-chain storage and transport, Chen said.
