DAMASCUS, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Four pro-government fighters were killed on Thursday by the explosion of a landmine in Syria's central province of Hama, state news agency SANA reported.

The landmine, which was left by the rebels ahead of their defeat, went off while a military bus was passing near the village of Rasm Ghazali in the eastern countryside of Hama, said the SANA report.

Meanwhile, the oppositional Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that six other soldiers were wounded.

It added that the landmine is a leftover from the Islamic State (IS) group, which was in control of that area. Enditem
