BRATISLAVA, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- SK Slovan Bratislava advanced to the playoffs of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers on a 4-2 aggregate win after they drew 1-1 against Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar on Tuesday.

Slovan were clear favorites against the semi-professional Red Imps and took the lead in the 38th minute, when Jaromir Zmrhal volleyed home Vladimir Weiss's corner.

Slovan's task was not made easier in the second half when Vernon de Marco was sent off for a second yellow card when he kicked the ball away in frustration after being flagged offside.

Despite being a man short, the Slovak team retained the upper hand, but in the final minute of regulation time, Slovan goalkeeper Michal Sulla was outwitted by Lincoln's Kike Gomez, who stole the ball off Sulla when he was about to take a long kick, and equalized with ease, though it made no difference to the aggregate result.

Slovan will now face Greek side Olympiakos in the upcoming playoff fixture. The winner of this duel will advance to the Europa League group stage, while the loser will drop into the Europa Conference League group stage. Enditem
