HONG KONG, March 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Fiji region at 05:34:18 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 581.81 km, was initially determined to be at 20.3797 degrees south latitude and 178.4313 degrees west longitude. ■
