MEXICO CITY, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Jorge Ruvalcaba struck in the 86th minute as Pumas UNAM held hosts Puebla to a 2-2 draw in their Liga MX clash on Friday.
Pablo Parra gave the hosts the lead from the penalty spot before Maximiliano Araujo made it 2-0 with a low finish after a Gustavo Ferrareis cross.
Pumas narrowed the deficit on the stroke of halftime when Rogerio slotted a shot into the bottom left corner.
Ruvalcaba tapped in the equalizer from close range when Washington Corozo sent an inch-perfect cross from the left wing.
The result leaves Puebla third in the 18-team Liga MX Clausura standings with 23 points from 13 matches. Pumas are ninth, seven points further back.
In the only other Liga MX fixture on Friday, Cruz Azul drew 1-1 at Mazatlan. ■
