TUNIS, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian President Kais Saied on Tuesday received visiting Arab Parliament Speaker Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami as the two sides discussed some key issues in the Middle East region.
According to a statement released by the Tunisian presidency, the two discussed developments of the Palestinian issue and means to combat terrorism and extremism in Arab societies.
Salami also talked about ways to develop Arab legislations and laws to enhance Arab economic integration with regard to transport, intra-trade and investments.
"The Arab Parliament speaker briefed the Tunisian president on the efforts made by the Parliament in terms of relief and humanitarian aid, as well as the law on the preservation of antiquities, especially in conflict-hit countries," read the statement.
