KAMPALA, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Uganda has reported 13 new cases of COVID-19, taking its total to 139, Health Minister Ruth Aceng said Wednesday.
Of the 1,741 samples collected from truck drivers, 13 have tested positive for the virus, Aceng said in a tweet, adding that the new cases involved seven Ugandans, five Kenyans and an Eritrean.
All 363 community samples have tested negative for COVID-19, according to the minister.
Of the 139 confirmed COVID-19 cases, at least 55 patients have recovered, according to ministry data. Enditem
