RABAT, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's navy coast guards have rescued a total of 100 illegal migrants since April 10 in the Mediterranean, state news agency reported on Monday.

The rescued, mostly sub-Saharans, including women and children, were brought safely to the neighbouring Moroccan ports, after receiving first aid on board the Navy units, it said.

Morocco has become a transit country for African migrants seeking to reach Europe for better living conditions. Enditem
