Int'l guitar festival to be held in Vietnam's capital

HANOI, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- An international guitar festival and competition will take place on Oct. 26-28, with the participation of dozens of Vietnamese and foreign artists.

The three-day event will witness competitions of contestants from Canada, the Netherlands, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries, and performances of well-known guitarists from such nations as Brazil, France and Japan, the Vietnam National Academy of Music said on Tuesday.

During the festival, master classes will be also held by the competition's judges, guitar-making techniques will be shown, and world-class guitars will be displayed.
