PHNOM PENH, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's Ministry of Health (MoH) has advised businesses to download the "Stop Covid" QR code to be displayed for customers and visitors to use when they arrive at their premises.
Using the QR code will help businesses such as hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, entertainment venues, condominiums, companies and factories among others to record the movements of customers, visitors and staff on their premises, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
"This system does not trace the individuals' privacy, but it will be convenient for health authorities to find people involved if any COVID-19 positive cases are detected on their premises," Health Minister Mam Bunheng said in the statement.
He urged people to use the system in order to join hands to curb the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Business owners can download a QR code at https://stopcovid.gov.kh, the minister said, adding that after getting the code, they can print and paste it on entry, so customers or visitors can scan it with their smartphones when they check-in. Enditem
