PHNOM PENH, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia confirmed 54 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections in the kingdom to 1,632, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement.

MoH's secretary of state and spokeswoman Or Vandine, in the statement, repeated her call on people to wear mask properly, wash hands frequently, and maintain a physical distance of at least 1.5 meters from others.

"Staying home is the best choice for now during this time of active virus circulation," she said. "Phnom Penh dwellers should stop unnecessary travel to provinces and vice versa."

Since the start of the pandemic in January last year, the kingdom has registered a total of 1,632 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with three deaths and 935 recoveries. Enditem
