TOKYO, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 struck Japan's Ishikawa Prefecture on Thursday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The temblor occurred at around 6:42 p.m. local time, with its epicenter at a latitude of 37.5 degrees north and a longitude of 137.3 degrees east at depth of 10 km.
The quake logged lower 5 in some parts of Ishikawa Prefecture on the Japanese seismic intensity scale which peaks at 7.
So far no tsunami warning has been issued. Enditem
