BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported 214 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the national tally to 5,261.
According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, the new cases included 213 local infections and one imported case. While the source of infection of 106 local cases is still under investigation, seven new clusters have been detected and two clusters have been closed with no new cases in the clusters for 28 days, which brought the total number of active clusters to 95.
The health ministry reminded the public once again not to leave their houses without any important purpose. The public was advised to go out only when it is necessary, avoid going to crowded places, and visiting relatives and friends is not allowed.
Currently 1,652 active cases are being treated and monitored at the National Isolation Center, with eight of them in critical condition and 22 other patients under close monitoring.
A total of 3,575 recovered patients and 34 deaths have been reported so far in the country. Enditem
