Mongolia adds 1,920 new COVID-19 infections

ULAN BATOR, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia's COVID-19 tally rose to 332,789 on Thursday, with 1,920 new infections registered over the past 24 hours, according to the country's health ministry.

Meanwhile, 15 more COVID-19 patients died in the past day, taking the death toll to 1,424.

The resurgence of COVID-19 infections has continued with the highly contagious Delta variant spreading quickly across the country's 21 provinces.

Mongolian health authorities have urged the public to follow all relevant health guidelines to protect themselves and their loved ones.

So far, 65.6 percent of the country's total population has received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and more than 355,200 Mongolians have taken the booster, or the third dose. Enditem
