Brunei reports 187 new local COVID-19 cases, 11,047 cases in total

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported 187 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total tally to 11,047.

According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, all the newly recorded cases were local infections.

While the source of 154 local infections was still under investigation, one new cluster has been detected and two clusters closed following no new cases in the clusters for 28 days, bringing the total number of active clusters to 169.

There are currently 2,728 active cases being treated and monitored at the National Isolation Center. A total of 8,242 recoveries and 77 patients' deaths have so far been reported in the country. Enditem
