Italy's debt hit 134.8% of GDP in 2018 - Eurostat

(ANSA) - Brussels, October 21 - Italy's debt-to-GDP ratio climbed to 134.8% in 2018, up from 134.1% in 2017, Eurostat said on Monday. Italy's public debt is the second-highest in the EU in relation to GDP after Greece. The EU statistics office said the deficit-to-GDP ratio, however, dropped to 2.2% from 2.4% in 2017.
