KIEV, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- The European Investment Bank (EIB) is ready to allocate 700 million euros (850 million U.S. dollars) for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said here on Friday.
The bank has expressed readiness to allocate the loan in credit assistance with a nearly zero rate of only 0.12 percent per annum, Ukrainian news outlet Ukrinform quoted Shmyhal as saying.
Earlier this month, the Ukrainian government approved another EIB loan worth 270 million euros (324.5 million dollars) for the implementation of the Boryspil Airport development project.
As of Dec. 31, 2020, the EIB had provided more than 7.46 billion euros (9 billion dollars) to Ukraine to fund 49 projects, in both the public and private sectors. Enditem
