Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday any attempt to isolate Russia was bound to fail and he urged European Union countries to make responsible and independent decisions on sanctions. "Isolation has never led anyone to anything," Lavrov told reporters after talks with Mozambican counterpart Oldemiro Baloi.

Turkish army on Saturday found the four French journalists kidnapped by a extremist religious force in Syria last June on the Turkish-Syrian border, local Dogan News Agency reported. The four French journalists were abducted by the rebel group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in June 2013. They were reportedly found in Turkey's southeastern Sanliurfa province where they were blindfolded and handbound.
