U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Wednesday.

The Dow fell 0.54 percent to 25,162.41, and the S&P 500 was down 0.76 percent to 2,818.37, while the Nasdaq dropped 1.23 percent to 7,774.12.
