Rescuers search for missing Chinese tourists off Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Jan. 30, 2017. Malaysia has expanded the search area for the six people remained missing after their boat sank off Sabah state on North Borneo, with neighboring Brunei also joining the search effort, authorities said Monday. BEIJING, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry on Monday asked Malaysia to maintain its search and rescue effort for Chinese nationals from a boat that sank off Malaysia's Sabah State on North Borneo on Saturday evening.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang also expressed hope that Malaysia would report the developments promptly.  Full story
