WAYNE ROONEY fears he is being made an outcast at Old Trafford as his bitter feud with Manchester United deepens.

The England striker pulled himself out of tonight’s friendly against AIK in Stockholm with a shoulder injury.

And he is worried things are now so bad his team-mates will turn their backs on him. Rooney, 27, wants out but United boss David Moyes says he is not for sale.

United yesterday confirmed they have rejected Chelsea’s latest bid of nearly £30million.

A club source said: “The new manager is trying to get settled in but the situation with Wayne is putting a cloud over everything.”

While Rooney has yet to hand in a written transfer request he has made it clear he wants out before the transfer window closes.

And he is concerned senior players are turning against him.

Rooney was omitted from the party who flew to Sweden yesterday.

United gave the reason as a shoulder injury picked up in a friendly against Real Betis on Saturday.

But it comes just a month after he jetted home less than a day into the club’s three-week long pre-season tour with a hamstring injury.

Moyes said: “Wayne hurt his shoulder in a fall during a match on Saturday. It’s not serious.”

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s Gerard Pique and Andres Iniesta have insisted their team-mate Cesc Fabregas is not about to join United.

Pique said: “He has always told me that he wants to stay.”

    Iniesta added: “He is indispensable.”
