MOSCOW, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Five flights were scheduled to fly from Pyongyang to Russia's far eastern city of Vladivostok on Monday, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

Usually, there are only two regular passenger flights from Pyongyang to Vladivostok every Monday and every Friday.

"Today there are two passenger flights and several freight flights from Pyongyang by Air Koryo," it quoted a spokesperson of the Vladivostok airport as saying on Monday.

According to the report, three cargo flights were due to arrive at the airport. On Monday, the website of the Vladivostok airport showed arrival information of five flights from Pyongyang.

By the time of the report, two cargo airplanes and one passenger flight had landed and two were expected to arrive later.

It was unclear if the remaining airplanes had landed, as the airport deleted from its website the information about the flights on Tuesday.

A representative of the Consulate General of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Vladivostok told RIA Novosti that the consulate had no information on the additional flights or their cargoes.
