BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted sea area off Taiwan's Hualien County at 2:21 a.m. Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 24.08 degrees north latitude and 121.77 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 30 km, the center said. ■
