GENEVA, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Brazil lead the first FIFA Futsal Women's World Ranking published on Monday.
Brazil are followed sequentially by Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Colombia, Thailand, Russia, Iran, Japan and Italy in the top 10.
Costa Rica (20th), New Zealand (26th) and Morocco (59th) are the highest-ranked teams from their respective regions.
The first FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup will be held in 2025, though FIFA is yet to announce the host and date of the tournament.
Brazil have won three Futsal Copa America Femenina in a row, while Spain are three-time winners in Europe. ■
