JERUSALEM, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Israel's Basketball Champions League club Hapoel Jerusalem on Monday night announced the signing of point guard Trevor Lacey.

The 32-year-old American played college basketball at Alabama and North Carolina State. In 2015, he began his European career, which included VL Pesaro, Dinamo Sassari, APU Udine in Italy, Germany's Rostock Seawolves, and Lokomotiv Kuban, with whom he won the Russian Cup in 2018.

In the ongoing season, Lacey played for Vanoli Cremona, who finished 11th in the 16-team Italian top division, averaging 10.3 points and 2.9 assists in 30 games.

"Trevor is the right piece in the puzzle at the current point in time. He is a very experienced point guard who can give us the backup we were looking for in the backcourt," said Jerusalem general manager Yonatan Alon.

Jerusalem is currently ranked fourth in the Israeli Super League with a 15-9 win-loss record with five rounds remaining in the regular season.
