YANGON, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 2,674 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally in the country to 354,279 on Sunday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.
A total of 185 more deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 13,263 as of Sunday, the statement said.
According to the ministry's figures, a total of 271,228 patients have been discharged from the hospitals and over 3.34 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far.
Myanmar detected its first two positive cases of COVID-19 on March 23 last year. Enditem
