Simon Cowell’s ‘harem’ is so furious

    MEMBERS of Simon Cowell’s “harem” are furious that the X Factor mogul ignored months of warnings about Lauren Silverman — the mum of his lovechild.

    A number of the glamorous ladies who make up his inner-circle have been wary of the married 36-year-old for a number of months and made no secret of their displeasure on a number of occasions.

    His three closest former lovers — Sinitta, Jackie St Clair and Terri Seymour — are all said to have “grave reservations” about Lauren’s motives.

    One of Simon’s friends told The Sun last night: “You can’t say we didn’t warn him. This was not a situation where any of us wanted to be proven right because Simon is actually a lovely and very caring man, but unfortunately we have been proven right.

    “For some reason, he’s been completely blinded by her.

    “Sadly, we all know that there’s now no ending it because of the baby.

    “Rightly or wrongly, she is going to be in his life for ever. That’s what she always wanted.”

    His friends are now concerned about the damage the family of Lauren’s husband Andrew could cause to Simon’s empire.

    The friend added: “This is a very rich family with a lot of powerful connections in New York.

    “They will not just let this rest. We all knew that this would happen if this situation became public and it should have been obvious to Simon, too. He’s been told time and time again.”

    Yet despite their anger, the harem — which includes his most recent ex-girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy — is expected to remain intact.

    The pal explained: “We’ve all stuck by Simon through thick and thin — that’s why he can trust us.

    “None of his close friends will walk away.

    “But it certainly doesn’t mean we have any intentions of looking out for Lauren.

    “She’ll be on her own as far as we’re concerned.”

    The friend said the only positive to come out of the situation is that Simon’s 87-year-old mother Julie will finally get to see her beloved son become a dad.

    The pal said: “That’s been her greatest wish in life and it will be very touching to see that happen at her age.”
