Bruce Willis ‘axed from Expendables 3 over $1m fee demand
BRUCE Willis was axed from Expendables 3 after reportedly demanding a $1million-a-day fee, reports say.
The actor – who starred alongside Sylvester Stallone in the first two movies about a gang of ageing mercenaries – was said to have been offered $3million for four days’ work in Bulgaria. But he allegedly threatened to leave the project if his fee was not upped to $4million.
The Die Hard star has been replaced by Harrison Ford.
Meanwhile, the alleged spat over his salary was reflected in a Twitter rant Stallone unleashed about his former co-star.
The movie hardman, 67, blasted Willis as “greedy and lazy”, claiming it was “great news” he had left the film.
He also wrote: “Greedy and lazy… a sure formula for career failure.”
Filming on the third Expendables is due to start this month. Other new faces include Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich.
