A TEENAGER with cerebral palsy was kicked off a beauty therapy course because she struggles to hold a nail varnish pot.
Georgie Ready, 18, had been accepted for the BTEC class, but was told at an open day she did “not meet the criteria”.
Furious mum Lynn, 52, is now preparing to take Tresham College in Corby, Northants, to court — claiming discrimination.
She said: “Georgie was distraught, heartbroken.
“One of the criteria was to hold a pot in her left hand, which she struggles with. But she can do it with her right and is better at painting nails than most able-bodied people.”
A college spokesman said: “We hope to resolve this as soon as possible.”
