White Jade Hill (130 meters above sea level) stands to the north of Lushunkou Bay. On top of the hill, there erects a white tower originally built after the Russian-Japanese War by the Japanese to commemorate their dead officers and soldiers. In 1985, the tower was formally renamed as "White Jade Hill Tower" serving as a proof of the Japanese imperialist aggression. There are a driveway, a cable car and a footpath leading to the top of the hill where one can have a bird eye¡¯s view of Lushun.

There are fortresses, batteries and remains of warfare all over the East Crest Mountain and the West Crest Mountain. As one of the five permanent fortresses along a semi-circle of 20-kilometers-long defence line, the North Fortress on the East Crest Mountain was built by the Tsarist Russians in defence of Lushun. It is a provincial level unit for preservation of major historical relics.
