Somalia condemns attack on Saudi Arabia's holy site by Yemeni rebels

oMOGADISHU, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Somali Federal Government on Saturday condemned attack on Saudi Arabia's holy city of Makkah by Yemeni's Houthi rebels.

A statement from Somalia's ministry of foreign affairs expressed outrage over attack by Houthi rebels on a city revered by Muslims.

"The Somali government condemns the attack by Houthi militants on the holy city of Makkah in the strongest term possible. We are outraged by attack on a site held in honor and reverence by Muslims all over the world," read the statement.

It added that the Somali government supports cessation of hostilities in Yemen that have spilled over to the horn of African state.
