BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Congratulations are pouring in from around the world since Chinese President Xi Jinping was re-elected general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday.

In their messages, leaders of foreign countries, political parties and organizations also expressed their confidence that the CPC, under Xi's leadership, will guide China toward greater prosperity and a larger international role.

The following is an edited version of some of the messages.

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz:

"The Belt and Road Initiative has been proved to be effective in addressing problems facing mankind. The government and people of Pakistan are willing to work together with the Chinese people to build a global community with a shared future."

Czech President Milos Zeman:

Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi:

Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed:

"I sincerely wish that, under your leadership and under the guidance of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, China will achieve new and greater achievements in achieving the 'two centenary goals' and the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation."

Seychelles President Danny Faure:

Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz:
