LUANDA, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Angola and Cape Verde, two countries of the Portuguese-speaking community, are preparing actions to strengthen bilateral relations in various areas, Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto said Tuesday.
Augusto was speaking in Luanda after a meeting between delegations of the two countries.
He stressed the need for revitalizing the Bilateral Cooperation Commission, a cooperation mechanism for the revitalization of the various agreements, conventions and memorandums signed between the two countries.
Foreign minister of Cape Verde Luis Filipe Tavares also expressed his country's willingness to cooperate with Angola in areas including defense and security.
Angola and Cape Verde are both member states of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).
