Morocco, Bahrain pledge to reinforce bilateral cooperation

RABAT, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Morocco and Bahrain reaffirmed on Wednesday their determination to reinforce bilateral cooperation in all areas and continue coordinating their positions on all matters of common interest.

The pledge was made during talks between the Moroccan Prime minister Saad Eddine El Othmani and visiting Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa in Rabat.

The talks discussed means to boost efforts for the optimal implementation of the dozens of cooperation agreements signed between the two countries, according to a statement from the Moroccan PM.

The two officials commended, on this occasion, the excellent fraternal relations between the two kingdoms.

They also hailed the positive outcome of the 4th session of the Moroccan-Bahraini Joint Committee, held on Tuesday in Rabat chaired by Al Khalifa and his Moroccan peer Nasser Bourita.

The session resulted in the signing of several cooperation agreements in various fields of common interest, including air transport, political consultation, diplomacy, information and communication, sport, employment and social security.
