SINGAPORE, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 1.11 percent or 38.18 points to close at 3,392.51.
A total of 1.48 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.21 billion Singapore dollars (about 909.02 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 285 to 143.
The STI index closed down 0.32 percent or 11 points at 3,430.69 on Tuesday.
